“Why your Education Matters”
Presented by: Yedidya Dotan, Cisco Principal Engineer
Urban legend tells that Larry Ellison called graduates losers and urged the freshmen to quit ASAP, he stated doing is more important than learning. I will explain briefly, why he might have been right before the bubble burst in 2001 and why he is absolutely wrong in 2015. I will explain the difference between ideation and skill. Moreover, I will show what served me well, like math models, addressing research tasks and creating a network of peers that help me on almost a daily basis.
